Chef André Leiras is driven by a passion for transforming ingredients into emotion. With an international culinary career, he stands out by blending technique, creativity, and cultural heritage into dishes that surprise and delight. At 47 years old, Chef André Leiras carries a professional journey that began with the “alchemy of food” in his childhood on Brazil’s magical island of Florianópolis. It was there that he learned the roots of native and seafood cuisine. After a decade in the corporate beverage world, he returned to his true calling and began forging a remarkable path in gastronomy.
With 16 years of hands-on culinary experience, André has worked in renowned kitchens across Brazil and abroad. He studied and mastered techniques from a variety of culinary traditions, including Thai, Peruvian, and Turkish-Arabic cuisines. His style is deeply influenced by this multicultural background, which he translates into bold, original menus and sensory culinary experiences.
He is the founder of Dos Deuses Gastronomia — a company specializing in events and gluten-free cuisine. André has also led food operations at large-scale venues such as Guarulhos International Airport and the seaside Stella Marina Beach Club in Alagoas. At Hatchet House Brasil, he created a bold Viking-themed menu, showcasing his ability to turn concepts into unforgettable gastronomic experiences.
In addition to restaurant and club work, André has led food programs at resorts and massive events — including a New Year’s Eve celebration for 2,000 guests. Always in pursuit of new challenges, he continues to craft dishes that stir memory, spark connection, and bring deep enjoyment to the table.
For André, cooking is a celebration of life — a space for expression, innovation, and bringing people together. He believes every meal is a chance to create something extraordinary.
Now based in São Paulo and active in Campos do Jordão, Chef André brings his talent to clients who seek high-end, meaningful, and personalized dining experiences.
Chef André takes particular pride in his Paella Valenciana — a classic Spanish dish with his personal twist. Made with octopus, squid, jumbo shrimp, Spanish chorizo, pork, and chicken, it’s prepared with bomba rice, saffron, and a rich blend of aromatic spices. The result is a beautifully complex and satisfying dish that perfectly reflects his culinary philosophy: refined technique with authentic soul.
